Lucy was responsible for bringing all the ponies together to live on Hazel House Farm and makes sure they are kept safe and happy.  Hazel House is not a traditional farm in the sense of harvesting grain and rearing livestock for dairy and meat. Lucy runs the farm more as a sanctuary for the ponies. She would never turn away a horse that needed shelter.

She lives alone on the farm, so the animals are her family. She loves the ponies, but is also very strict when they misbehave. The ponies are sometimes scared of how angry she can be, but only because they get upset when she is not happy.
