Manic’s life as a traveller’s pony pulling barges and caravans has made him very world wise and is comfortable around company of all ages. He is many years older than his best friend Star, but the age difference doesn’t even enter his head. His travelling experience has made him naturally very calm, sensible and open-minded in new situations, though he can forget that not everybody shares the same ideas as him.

He is obviously not afraid of hard work and is steady and reliable. Despite having responsibility and loyalty to his travellers, he was often abandoned when their situations changed. (For example, he changed hands in a game of cards once). This gives him a darker angry side which can be occasionally be triggered in confrontations that challenge his beliefs.
