Saffron is still finding her feet on Hazel House as our stories begin. She has just arrived on the farm, taken in by Lucy after her old family abandoned her when their children grew up. As she has not seen or done many different things in life she is quite sensitive and easily frightened.

She has spent the last few years alone on her previous owner’s expansive property and has learned to love the environment around her. As a Golden Palomino, she is naturally slim and elegant and very fast so she loves running through the hills. Her favourite rest stop is the river as she loves using its reflection as a mirror.
